John Myers and his team have created a selected range of documentary travel dvds with the emphasis on travelling and trekking worldwide.  These travel dvds have been brought together under ‘The World in Focus’ series.

John Myers travel dvds will enable you to view what it is like to trek up to Mt Everest Base Camp in Nepal; to mountain bike the Leh to Manali Traverse in India; to visit Sikkim and follow trails on the southern approach to Kanchenjunga; to visit the high Andean countries of Bolivia and Peru..  Included in ‘The World in Focus’ series are some less energetic but equally rewarding travel destinations such as the beautiful beaches and culture of Brazil; the adventure coastline of east Australia; vibrant and verdant Vietnam.

The Temples of Angkor travel guide DVD

Welcome to Cambodia. Though much less visited than neighbouring Thailand or Vietnam, Cambodia has established itself firmly on the Southeast Asian tourist trail. Cambodia is still probably best known for the fanatical Khmer rouge regime led by Pol Pot. It is not known how many Cambodians, between one and three million, died at the hands of the Khmer Rouge, during the three years, eight months and twenty days of their rule in the mid 1970s. Nowadays Cambodia is at peace. The main reason that most people come to Cambodia is to visit the spectacular and world-famous temples of Angkor, built by the kings of the Khmer empire. The beginning of the era of the Khmer kingdom at Angkor is conventionally dated to 802 and lasted until the Thais invaded Angkor in 1431.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution of archive footage for the Adventure Travel Show 2006. We are really pleased with the end result. The programmes were very well received by the audience and will be broadcast several times in 2006.

I am planning to bike the coastline of Vietnam. Although your dvd does not cover biking in that country, it does show the places through which I shall be travelling. Very informative and helpful.

When I journeyed across the Tibetan plateau from Lhasa to Kathmandu it was in August. I couldn’t see the views because of the monsoon clouds. Your dvd now acts as the ‘missing link’ – all the views of the Himalayan range that I didn’t get.
