Tibet is a high plateau land that offers the traveler real
adventure, whether it be trekking to Everest base camp at the north
face or seeking out the so-called unseen Kangshung face of Everest,
or joining pilgrims in the circuitous hike around sacred Mt Kailas.
There is always the possibility of starting out from Lhasa and
biking the distance back to Kathmandu.
