Pakistan
Pakistan has some fascinating cities. The magnificent Lahore
is a Moghul masterpiece. Peshawar, the capital of the Pathans, is
the gateway to the Khyber Pass. In the south lie Hyderabad and the
Karachi. Most visitors will arrive at Islamabad and its bustling
neighbour Rawalpindi. Then there is the Karakoram highway that
routes into the mountains of the Northern Territory. Here there are
some fabulous trekking and mountaineering possibilities to, for
example, the Snowlake area above the Boltoro glacier and of course
K2 base camp.
